Portland Street view

Portland Street view

This model was both a tool for planners and a public display of aims in the mid 1960s. It was housed in the foyer area of the Planning Department and showed proposed developments as they came forward and their association with the planned ring roads. This view is from Piccadilly along Portland Street.

I absolutely love everything about the 20th century, including architecture, would be nice if there was a project of this kind on google maps
